Camstart is about supporting youth entrepreneurship and creating social impact.

We believe that engaging the youth of tomorrow in social entrepreneurship is of utmost importance. Camstart’s 8-week Incubator Programme provides youths with the resources they need to grow their ideas into full-fledged social enterprise projects.

We are a registered UK charity run by Cambridge University students helping youths launch their own social enterprises.

Social enterprises are businesses that are either for-profit or non-profit with an aim to create positive social impact. In various sectors from education to healthcare, social enterprises have flexible delivery models to tackle challenges faced by our society where traditional institutions cannot.

A sustainable future needs creative youth social entrepreneurs to engage with problems emerging from an ever-changing world. Our experience working with students have shown that youth enterprises have great inventive and impactful potential.

Students are resource constrained

Youths lack opportunities to actively pursue social entrepreneurship in school or extra-curricular programmes. Student-led projects are increasingly common but often they lack the guidance and support to drive sustainable change for the community.

Even the best ideas need a push in the right direction. Our programme provides practical and tangible experience/skills to develop feasible business concepts and support inspiring social impact projects.

What we offer

The Camstart Academy equips students with the skills and knowledge to start a social enterprise. It includes a comprehensive curriculum of 30+ video lessons, 7 hands-on assignments, and 2 live webinars to teach social entrepreneurship concepts and practical skills. The Academy is self-paced and tailored for students aged 14-19.

The Camstart Incubator Programme is a free 8-week online programme running from January to February that helps students transform their social enterprise ideas into reality. It consists of four interactive workshops with experienced social entrepreneurs as well as personalised mentoring services provided by Cambridge University Project Consultants.

Camstart supports youth social entrepreneurship in an active and collaborative way to improve youth employment and encourage sustainable development.
